Weekly Covid Health Alert

Vaccines

  • In addition to existing approved vaccines, the European Medicines Agency has approved the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for use in the EU. 
  • The Government of Slovenia reaffirmed that residents of Slovenia, regardless of nationality, will have equal access to vaccines as specific groups are vaccinated.

Slovenia Covid Statistics (as of 18 March 2021):

  • The number of active cases in the country decreased slightly in the past week – currently at 10, 260 active cases.  On a rolling 14-day average, Slovenia has dropped slightly to 495 new cases per 100,000 citizens.
  • The number of hospitalized dropped from 485 last week to 444 today.
  • The number of weekly Covid-confirmed deaths in Slovenia the past week decreased slightly to 40 in the past week.
