U.S. Ambassador Arrives
- The new U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia, Jamie Harpootlian, presented her credentials to President Pahor on February 17 and assumed her duties here. See the Ambassador’s video. She looks forward to meeting the American community in the coming weeks.
Demonstrations in Ljubljana

Slovenia COVID-19 Statistics (as of 28 February 2022):
- The number of active cases has dropped greatly in the past month, with 43,710 current active cases and a 14-day incident rate per 100,000 at 2,072.
- The number of hospitalized decreased from 780 last week to 526 today, although the number in ICU increased to 108. An additional 248 people died of COVID in the past two weeks.
- Slovenia’s vaccination rate remains largely unchanged, with 57.8% of the population being fully vaccinated.
