Chargé d’Affaires Gautam Rana visited Maribor October 11 to discuss economic and commercial affairs with local business leaders under the auspices of the American Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leaders Club. Rana also met with Director Maja Tomanič Vidovič to learn more about the Slovenian Enterprise Fund’s programs to support Slovenian small- and medium-sized businesses and startups, and discussed national and local political issues with Alma Mater Europaea Director and constitutional law expert Jurij Toplak. Afterward, Rana toured the U.S.-owned Albaugh TKI chemical plant in nearby Rače to review the firm’s marketing and operations plans with Albaugh Europe Managing Director Douglas Adair Kaye, South East Europe Business Manager Vojko Dominc, and Plant Manager David Kos.
