Temporary Border: Life and Longing in Zone A

Ambassador Hartley and Chief of the Office for Defense Cooperation Steve Pena attended the opening of the exhibition entitled “Temporary Border: Life and Longing in Zone A (1945- 1947).” The exhibition marks the 70th anniversary of the creation of the western Slovenian border and is devoted to an outline of existential relations in the area of the Julian March before 1947. Through the memories of its inhabitants, it reveals the region’s complex relations under the Allied Military Government (1945-1947). The exhibition will be on display at Museum of Contemporary History in Slovenia until February 28, 2018.
