Security Alert – Demonstration
- Location: Downtown Ljubljana
- Event: Today, 28 May, starting around 1700, there is a large planned demonstration in downtown Ljubljana, possibly involving thousands of people. Protesters may gather at Republic square (Parliament), Congress square, Prešeren square (Three Bridges), and government buildings. Expect a large Slovenian Police presence that may affect traffic in downtown Ljubljana.
- Actions to Take: Be vigilant near crowded public venues.
Health Alert (Covid-19 update)
Entry into Slovenia
- Effective 30 May, children under 15 accompanying their parents no longer require proof of Covid test to enter Slovenia without quarantine.
Slovenia Covid Statistics (as of 28 May 2021):
- The number of active cases in the country continued to decrease, from 6,673 active cases on May 19 to 4,613 today. On a rolling 14-day average, Slovenia has decreased to 242 new cases per 100,000 citizens.
- The number of hospitalized dropped from 383 on May 19 to 252 today.
