Ambassador Hartley was pleased to join Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Majcen February 2nd for a ceremony marking the U.S. donation of computer equipment for flood forecasting and warning in the Sava River basin. The project supports the development of a regional flood warning system in the countries of the International Sava River Basin Commission (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia). At the event, Ambassador Hartley noted “this kind of co-operation and partnership can help us address and overcome regional challenges and foster stability in the Balkans.”
