On Labor Day Ambassador Hartley used the combination of great weather, a day off and good company to conquer the highest mountain in Slovenia, Triglav. The path he and his fellow climbers took went from Krma to Malo Polje, over Kurica and Kranjsko sedlo. After a short stop at Planika, they continued to the top. On the way back, they made a stop at Kredarica where they enjoyed ričet, žganci and zelje. Re-engerized from their meal, they continued to Triglavski podi via Tominškova pot to Aljažev dom v Vratih.
