On March 19, Ambassador Brent Hartley met with TPV Group President Marko Gorjup, Board Chairman Vladimir Gregor Bahč, Deputy President Tomaž Savšek, and Business Unit Director Ignac Bakše to discuss the automotive industry supplier’s European operations and tour its facilities in Novo Mesto and Velika Loka. With six plants and more than 1,200 employees, TPV Group develops and manufactures car body and chassis assemblies, seat components, and energy gaskets for leading automotive system suppliers and original equipment manufacturers, and also provides production logistics management for automated guided vehicles. TPV Group supplies BMW, Daimler, Volvo, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Brose, Benteler, and Magna, primarily in Europe, South Africa, Asia, and North America, and is currently in the process of opening a production facility in South Carolina to support BMW, Volvo, and Daimler.
