Ambassador Hartley was happy to award medals to the winning Slovenian winemakers at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition and the Great American International Wine Competition. Slovenian wine makers won an impressive 85 medals (four double-gold, 23 gold, 40 silver and 16 bronze) at the two American competitions. After medals were handed out, Ambassador Hartley had the chance to talk with many of the winemakers and sample some of their winning wines.
